The mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally to help to raise millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season (September 1st to December 15th) support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.



Principal Combined Fund Organization Application

The Local Federal Coordinating Committee (LFCC) is soliciting applications from qualified charitable organizations or federated groups wishing to administer the Southwest Montana Combined Federal Campaign for the 2013, 2014, and 2015 campaigns.

The organization will serve as the “Principal Combined Fund Organization” (PCFO) to administer the 2013, 2014, and 2015 charitable solicitations in the federal workplace.  It will operate under the supervision of the “Local Federal Coordinating Committee” and will serve as the campaign’s fiscal agent.

Applications must be submitted to the United Way Office, 75 E. Lyndale, Helena, MT 59601 by 4:00 p.m., February 7, 2013.

Accepting Applications from
Local Health & Human Service Organizations

Health and Human Welfare organizations wanting to participate in the 2013-2014 Southwest Montana Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) must submit an application to the CFC Office, PO Box 862, Helena, MT  59624, during the period January 23 to 3:00 p.m. on February 22.  If mailed, applications must be postmarked by 3:00 p.m. on February 22.  Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) human health and welfare agency that demonstrates a direct and substantial local presence in the Anaconda, Butte, Dillon, Deer Lodge, and/or Helena areas.  For a copy of the application, go to and click on “2013 CFC Local Independent Organization and Federation Member Application.”

Federations, representing 15 or more 501(c)(3) charities, should go to and click on “2013 CFC Local Federation” for a copy of the application.  Applications for federations must also be received by 3:00 p.m. on February 22 or postmarked by 3:00 p.m. of February 22 if mailed.
